Lenexa to reconsider eliminating crossing guards (The Kansas City Star)
After an outcry from concerned parents, Lenexa's City Council has decided to reconsider eliminating school crossing guards for heptad elementary schools. The City Council will review a new recommendation by city staff to extend the service of the crossing guards until the end of the school year, according to Mike Shatto, assistant city administrator.
