State of Minnesota To Get Data Security

State of Minnesota Selects Check Point's Data Security Solutions to Protect Sensitive Data

Pointsec Full Disk & Media Encryption to Protect State and Local Government Institutions from Data Theft

May 23, 2007 - REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that the state of Minnesota's Office of Enterprise Technology (OET) has selected the Pointsec PC full-disk encryption solution to secure laptops and PCs and Pointsec Protector to secure removable media devices, ensuring that all data is completely protected, even if a device is lost or stolen. The contract with the State of Minnesota makes Pointsec PC available to state and local government, public schools and higher education institutions under a single contract.

"Protecting sensitive data across thousands of network endpoints for the state of Minnesota attests to the flexibility and strength of our full-disk encryption solutions," said Marty Leamy, vice president of field operations for Check Point Software Technologies. "We are extremely pleased that Minnesota has selected Check Point as one of its encryption vendors for both government agencies and educational facilities."

Founded in July 2005, Minnesota's OET provides oversight, leadership, and direction for information and telecommunications technology policy and the management, delivery, and security of information and telecommunications technology systems and services in state government. It also manages strategic investments in information and telecommunications technology systems and services to ensure sufficient access to and efficient delivery of government services.

"The endless rash of data breaches affecting major corporations and government agencies over the past two years has served as a major catalyst for conducting a full-scale evaluation of the market-leading full-disk encryption solutions available today," said Chris Buse, chief information security officer for the State. "Because our facilities are in disparate locations state-wide, we knew we needed an encryption solution that could be easily deployed and managed across a distributed computing environment. Our goal was to negotiate a contract that met the requirements established by a cross-agency review team and under which many government entities can purchase the tools they need."

With its proven line of Pointsec solutions, Check Point provides automatic real-time encryption of the entire hard drive that can be configured to meet any organization's needs. Pointsec's exclusive and efficient "on-the-fly" encryption method ensures that encryption is performed according to an organization's security policies, remains transparent to the end user and results in virtually no performance difference for the device. The most widely and fastest deployed data protection solution, Pointsec offers more and higher industry certifications than any competing solution and innovative centralized management offers the lowest total cost of ownership. Check Point offers support for Windows-based laptops and desktops, Linux-based systems, removable storage media such as USB sticks and CDs, and popular wireless handhelds on the Microsoft, Symbian and Palm operating systems.

American Security to get WorkSite

American Security and Marsden Bldg Maintenance to Implement NorthWrite's WorkSite Applications Platform

May 21, 2007 - SAINT PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Security, L.L.C. and Marsden Bldg Maintenance, L.L.C., together the largest privately-owned provider of janitorial and security services in the Midwest, announced today that they have begun installation of NorthWrite's WorkSite applications platform. Installation of the Worksite platform, expected to be completed by the end of June, will enhance the ability of both companies to better serve their customers through enhanced communications and coordination of resources.

"NorthWrite's WorkSite applications will absolutely revolutionize our customer communications and back-office processes for all of our companies," said Sita Morantz, Chief Administrative Officer for Marsden Holding, L.L.C. "The WorkSite suite of applications will allow us to seamlessly serve our customers locally, regionally and nationally. WorkSite allows us to offer a 'one-window' approach to managing communications and information between the companies and our customers, regardless of which services they buy from us."

"We are very excited about the process improvement that WorkSite brings to our operations," said Chris Clifton, president and Chief Operating Officer for Marsden Bldg Maintenance, L.L.C. "We believe it will deliver real, substantial benefits to our organization - and our customers - in terms of rapid communications, efficient use of corporate resources and improved consistency. We believe our relationship with NorthWrite will become a real competitive advantage for us."

"WorkSite will benefit us day-to-day, but particularly in a time of crisis," said Steven Klein, president and Chief Operating Officer for American Security, L.L.C. "A critical situation can develop in an instant and can quickly spread beyond a single location or organization. WorkSite will help us respond to those situations more quickly, alert others to the threat more effectively and allow us to carry out plans and procedures with greater precision and impact."

WorkSite provides a robust suite of applications - called WorkSite Tools - that are easily managed and customized for each organization and that are simple to use and manage. Each enterprise WorkSite will include company-wide communications and information sharing applications, project and document management modules, online training, electronic incident reporting and scheduling functions and more.

"The strength of our companies have always been in our ability to attract great people, provide them with great training and ensure they have the tools to carry out their responsibilities," said Tim Kingsley, American Security director of development. "This 'people-focused, technology-enhanced' approach to our business will serve our clients well and help us to build on customer relationships that we have cultivated for more than 50 years. Our work with NorthWrite and the WorkSite will extend benefits to our clients far into the next 50 years."

Kingsley noted that American Security was very familiar with the WorkSite platform as the Company has been monitoring NorthWrite's growth and development since 2005 with the delivery of the Minneapolis CityWorkSite in conjunction with the Minneapolis Safe Zone Collaborative. American Security has been a partner in NorthWrite's CityWorkSite product development and recently sponsored a CityWorkSite installation for the City of Saint Paul. CityWorkSite is a community-level version of the WorkSite platform that will significantly enhance community safety and security.

"Because of our work throughout the Midwest, we're vitally interested in making the communities we serve safer and we know that good communications is key to achieving that goal," said Klein. "We were so impressed with CityWorkSite's potential to tangibly improve safety that we sponsored its installation in our hometown of Saint Paul. It's a great tool that enhances the ability of private security personnel and Saint Paul businesses to help protect the community and to assist local law enforcement,"

American Security anticipates working with NorthWrite to develop and launch the CityWorksSite platform in markets across the country. Since its introduction, CityWorkSite has been introduced in communities across the U.S., including El Paso, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, Sacramento and - most recently - Saint Paul, Minnesota. Notably, the City of St. Paul is scheduled to be the host city for the Republican National Convention in 2008. Other introductions of the CityWorkSite platform are planned for Atlanta and Detroit later this year.

Reduce the Scope and Cost of Discovery

Kroll Ontrack® Enhances Ontrack® Discovery Offering with Early Processing Metrics Service

Early Analysis and Detailed Reporting Enable Clients to Reduce the Scope and Cost of Discovery by Optimizing Filtering Criteria

May 17, 2007 - MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kroll Ontrack, the industry's largest provider of electronic and paper-based document discovery and computer forensics services, today announced an enhancement to its Ontrack Discovery offering with a new early processing metrics service that gives e-discovery clients the opportunity to view specific details about their electronically stored information (ESI) before incurring substantial costs for data processing and review. Utilizing this service to refine filtering specifications will help attorneys winnow the data set to only the most relevant ESI important to the case, prepare for negotiations with opposing counsel and better plan for production of electronic documents now mandated by the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

Specifically, the early processing metrics service will allow clients to hone their keyword lists, date ranges, custodians and duplication selections before data is processed through the Kroll Ontrack e-discovery engine and posted in the company's award-winning online review tool Ontrack® InviewT. Customers will now have the ability to remove keywords that are over-inclusive or under-inclusive from their keyword list based on a series of detailed reports about each word and its corresponding hit rates. Customers will also be able to see a list of files that did not take hits on the filtering criteria, helping the legal team verify the scope and cost associated with the electronic discovery processing effort early on in the project.

Noteworthy reports available through this service include:

    * Keyword hit report by keyword
    * Keyword hit report by custodian
    * System file report
    * Documents needing evaluation
    * Documents filtered out

"With the December 2006 amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, attorneys now have the opportunity to advocate for their clients with respect to the appropriate scope of discovery of electronically stored information," said Michele Lange, director of Legal Technologies for Kroll Ontrack. "By narrowing the volume of data to only potentially responsive information before documents are processed and posted for review, this early processing metrics service will allow lawyers to adopt pretrial best practices and save clients substantial time and money."

Clients interested in learning more about the early processing metrics service should consult their local Kroll Ontrack representative or contact the company at 1-800-347-6105.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 15, 2007 -- Federal Prison Consultants, LLC (Division: California Prison Consultants) is available to offer phone and video sessions for news media release to the general public regarding the prison sentence of Paris Hilton, such as, her self-surrender, facility description, good time credit, early release due to overcrowding and strategic planning for minimizing her prison sentence.

The specific case at hand is Case No. 6MP09160: In the Superior Court of California: County of Los Angeles - The People of the State of California vs. Paris Whitney Hilton.

Paris Hilton, 26, was sentenced to 45 days in jail by Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. Hilton was driving with a suspended license. She must self-surrender by June 5, 2007.

As an inmate, Hilton may have to spend most of her day in a cell smaller than her own closet. She would be allowed out of her cell for only a short period to shower, watch TV, exercise or make a short monitored phone call.

Hilton may spend less than 45 days in prison for violating her probation due to laws in California concerning jail overcrowding, as well as possible earned good behavior exemptions.

Knowing jail and prison protocol can help target the best possible time to self-surrender, coupled with knowing all of the policies and programs of the jail or prison system. Having an experienced prison consultant can increase your chances of being released earlier for a great deal of reasons.

Federal Prison Consultants, LLC (Division: California Prison Consultants) has handled many high-profile federal and state cases, similar to Hilton's. Having an experienced prison consultant involved in a case like this may increase the changes of being released from jail or prison by expert knowledge of the jail or prison protocol, whether it is County, State or Federal protocol.

Ed Bales, Managing Director of Federal Prison Consultants, LLC (Division: California Prison Consultants) was in Los Angeles last week following the events and answering questions to the news media.

Federal Prison Consultants, LLC (Division: California Prison Consultants) offers a free assessment consultation for all prison related matters. Please feel free to call us at 1-888-5-PRISON or via our web site from the attached link of this press release.

Saint Paul, Minnesota Gets Enhanced Communications Security Tool

American Security Partners with City of Saint Paul, NorthWrite to Sponsor CityWorkSite Platform to Enhance Community Safety

May 14, 2007 - SAINT PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Security, the largest independently owned security company in the Midwest, today helped unveil a new, state-of-the-art communications platform for the City of Saint Paul that will significantly enhance community safety. The rollout of the new system took place this morning at a press conference attended by Saint Paul Mayor Chris Coleman and Saint Paul Chief of Police John Harrington. The announcement included a demonstration of how the new platform - the Saint Paul CityWorkSite - will enhance community safety and extend the efforts of the police department through enhanced communications and more effective sharing of information.

"As the largest provider of private security personnel in Saint Paul, we're vitally interested in making the communities we serve safer," said Steven Klein, chief operating officer of American Security, LLC. "NorthWrite's CityWorkSite platform is a great tool that enhances the ability of private security personnel and Saint Paul businesses to help protect the community and to assist local law enforcement. Good communications is the bedrock of community safety and this platform makes it possible to share critical public safety information within moments. That's good news for residents, for business and for visitors and bad news for those who want to take advantage of St. Paul's open and welcoming spirit."

To make it possible for the City of Saint Paul to acquire and implement NorthWrite's CityWorkSite, American Security has sponsored the site to defray the initial start-up costs to the City and the police department.

"A sense of security on our sidewalks and in our homes is essential to our City's quality of life and we very much appreciate American Security's willingness to take the initiative to make this idea a reality," said Coleman. "Part of my strategic plan for our City is to foster community partnerships that encourage and support healthy and safe neighborhoods; we believe the CityWorkSite program is a great example of this sort of initiative. It's a system that's proven effective in a number of communities around the country, including right across the river in Minneapolis."

NorthWrite's CityWorkSite is a web-based platform where all information is digital and able to be shared instantly. CityWorkSite eliminates the current logistical headaches of waiting for weekly or even monthly meetings to share images and information and the issues of loss of quality and convenience created by distribution e-mail lists and faxes. One-to-many communications can be delivered in near-real-time in a format and content appropriate to the user and device and a wide range of digital formats - video, pictures, documents, applications - can be shared by individuals or groups on a standing or ad hoc basis.

The CityWorkSite platform takes advantage of the fact that, particularly in urban areas, it is common to find a 15:1 ratio of private security to sworn police officers. These private security professionals are well-trained and well-equipped, but they often operate in an information vacuum because there are no effective links between a community's public safety network and the larger security community. And, in areas where multiple private security networks overlay one another, CityWorkSite provides a common platform to connect those systems on a peer-to-peer basis.

NorthWrite's expertise in building effective shared communications platforms was first developed by helping the key stakeholders in a building (security guards, property managers, facility managers, janitorial staff, and others) work together to get things done. CityWorkSite extends that expertise by connecting buildings and other organizations with police, emergency services, hospitals, city attorneys, and many more.

Sony Network Ip Cameras Capture Thief During a Robbery

Sony SNCDF70n and SNCDF40N Sony Network Ip Cameras Help Capture Thief During a Robbery

A sncdf70n &sncdf40n Sony Network Ip Cameras Help Capture Thief during a Robbery.

Farmingville, NY (PRWEB) May 8, 2007 -- SNCDF70n , SNCDF40n Sony Network Ip Camera were used in a residential application for a New York homeowner, Robert. This homeowner captured images to Sony Realshot manager but was able to log in remotely to actually view a robbery taking place in his home in real time.

Stunned by what Robert saw when he logged in he called police immediately and arrived to his residence just an hour after to find out through police an arrest had taken place. The criminal had broke a window and gained access to the first story master bedroom. When police arrived he was spotted attempting to flee by jumping over the backyard fence that led to a main highway.

While attempting to flee the property with valuables in hand. police were able to stop in his tracks. The client was so thankful they called us to report this incident and order a few more Sncdf70n dome cameras for his business, a plant nursery on Long Island, N.Y. The images captured were high resolution images that were able to assist in the presentation of evidence. He felt his Sony Network Ip security camera system was superior to his previous analogue system because of the remote monitoring and because of how easy the installation is. This is one of many incidences reported to 123securityproducts.com by its clients. We value the feedback and look foward to another year of successes.

Online Portal for E-Discovery Clients

Kroll Ontrack Unveils an Online Portal for E-Discovery Clients

First-of-its-Kind Tool Provides Corporations and Law Firms with Immediate Access to Critical Project Details

May 02, 2007 - MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kroll Ontrack, the industry's largest provider of electronic and paper-based document discovery and computer forensics services, today launched the Ontrack® Discovery Customer Portal, a custom tool that gives e-discovery clients immediate access to project information, detailed reports and processing metrics. Described as "a window into the project activity," this first-of-its kind portal enables law firms and corporations to access information on-demand, allowing them to take control and make more informed decisions about their cases.

Specifically, the customer portal permits members of a legal team to more accurately forecast the number of reviewers necessary to meet discovery deadlines, prepare document review schedules, monitor progress of the project and plan for production. Through a secure online environment, clients can access these project details at any time with a login and password.

"Our commitment to providing exceptional customer service has, and continues to be, at the forefront of our service offering, and this online customer portal takes our service delivery to the next level," said Michele Lange, director of Legal Technologies for Kroll Ontrack. "While customers have always received this information from their project managers, and may continue to do so, this portal gives them immediate access at any time of day or night to project information, processing metrics and reports. It puts the power of information in their hands."

The Ontrack Discovery Customer Portal includes three distinct information areas:

    * Dashboard - This component features a series of charts and graphs, which makes it easy for legal teams to see how much data is at each stage in the Kroll Ontrack e-discovery processing engine, how much passed the filtering process and how much is available for review, thereby allowing users to chart the progress of their project every step of the way. In addition, they can view metrics on a variety of criteria including project, custodian and individual source media.

    * Data Reporting - Comprised of fourteen detailed reports, this area of the portal provides information on keyword hit rates; system files, duplicates, non-hits and other files removed from the data set; and files contained in the review and production sets. This data will enable legal teams to make informed decisions about electronic discovery search strategies and processing.

    * Project information - The Ontrack Discovery Customer Portal provides a forum where the Kroll Ontrack project manager can post important documents relating to the project for members of the legal team to download at any time, including the project's milestone report.

The Ontrack Discovery Customer Portal is a complimentary part of Kroll Ontrack's electronic discovery service offering in the United States. All new customers and eligible existing customers will be provided access to the portal. For more information about the Ontrack Discovery Customer Portal, contact Kroll Ontrack at 1-800-347-6105.
